Technofest 2015

TECHNOFEST IN THE INDIAN SCHOOL Technofest 2015, the annual science festival of The Indian School, Bahrain was celebrated on 11th May 2015 at the Isa Town Campus of the School. Dr. Mohamed Yousif, of the Department of Physics, University of Bahrain was the Chief Guest. The Symposium, on the topic Cloning and Stem Cell Research, the On The Spot Working model making contest, and the Quiz competitions were keenly contested inter school events with the Al Noor International School, New Millennium School, New Indian School and the Ibn Al Hytem Islamic school participating apart from the host school. Binscal Pascal Paul and Wissem Bououdina of the Al Noor International School bagged the first and second prizes for the Symposium while the New Millennium School and New Indian School bagged the first and second places in the quiz competition. The On the Spot Working model making contest saw the first and third positions being bagged by the Indian School while the New Indian School walked away with the second position. The display Board competition, an intra-school activity was a very keenly contested one where all the students from class VIII to class XII took part – an activity which involved more than 3000 students. Dr. Mohamed Yousif, of the Dept of Physics, University of Bahrain gave away the prizes in the presence of the Principal V R Palaniswamy, Asst. Secretary Dr. Manoj, Executive Committee Member Transpost and Discipline Mr. Bhupinder Singh and Hon. Executive Member-Academics Mr. Khursheed Alam. In his address the Chief Guest Dr. Mohamed Yousif congratulated the students and the school for putting up a grand show.
