ISB Felicitates Young Scholars

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Primary Section celebrated the Grade IV and V Academic Award Ceremony for the year 2018-2019 at the Isa Town Campus on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Around 450 students of grade IV and V were awarded A1 certificates for their academic excellence. Chief Guest Dr E. Krishnan inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp in the presence of ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, Hon. Asst. Secretary Premalatha NS, Hon. EC Members Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Rajesh MN, Ajayakrishnan V, Saji George, Deepak Gopalakrishnan, Mohammed Nayaz Ullah, Principal V.R. Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Johnson K. Devassy, Vice Principals, Head Teacher and staff members. ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan addressed the gathering and congratulated the young scholars. He encouraged the parents to be the role model for their children. He pointed out that ISB is providing a lot of opportunities for children to showcase their talents. Principal V.R Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering and congratulated the award winners of grade IV and V. He also appreciated the support and cooperation of parents in making the ISB a centre of excellence. He highlighted the ISB’s academic excellence as well as the overall development of the students and appreciated the efforts of the teaching faculty. Executive Committee Member Academics Mohammed Kurshed Alam in his speech congratulated the academic achievers and highlighted the devoted work done by the teachers in maintaining excellent academic standards in the school. Hon. Secretary Saji Antony, who congratulated the students saying that their hard work had paid off, proposed the vote of thanks. Chief Guest Dr Krishnan shared his experiences with the audience. Later, he was felicitated by the Hon. Chairman Prince Natarajan with a Ponnada and memento on behalf of the Indian School. Earlier the event began at 7:30 pm with the national anthem of Bahrain & India followed by the recitation of Holy Quran and the school prayer. A variety of cultural programs added more hues to the function. A lot of preparation by students and teachers went into the event in order to make it successful. While the MCs carried on the show confidently, the group song and the dances were the most noticeable part of the glittering function.
