Riffa Campus Play Area Inauguration

18th November, 2016 , a date when all roads in Bahrain led to The Indian School, Riffa Campus for a very special reason. As a culmination of the weeklong celebrations of Children’s Day, a Rumpus Room titled “Learning Ladders” and a Play Pen titled “TOT SPOT” were dedicated to the school on this historic day. The Riffa campus of the Indian School, Bahrain is home to the Primary section of the School and a fun- filled Play area for the students of this campus has been something that the school has been looking forward to. Mr. Anand Prakash, Second Secretary at the Embassy of India in Bahrain inaugurated “ TOT – SPOT “ the play area for tiny tots which has age appropriate and safe play equipment for children of different age groups. He also inaugurated “ “Learning Ladders”, an explore room for Kindergartners with inbuilt facilities for Multimedia learning experience, Puppetry, backyard Science , Language development, Free Play and much more. Chief Guest Mr. Anand Prakash praised the School for this great initiative and commended its role to the service of the Indian community In a colourful function, the students hosted the show, welcomed and entertained the Chief Guests, members of the Executive Committee, Principals, Staff, parents and students in their inimitable style. The Hon.Chairman Mr. Prince S. Natarajan spoke about the importance of making Learning a very pleasant experience for the students, especially the little ones. Stressing that students in this campus “Learn to Read” while the students in the senior campus “Read to Learn” , he also said that the Play Area has been developed taking into consideration the various aspects of child learning techniques and to make students physically active. In his address he urged parents to join hands with the staff of the school to realize the dreams that we have for the students. . The Hon. Secretary of the school Dr. Shemily P John thanked the staff for their untiring effort in setting up such a beautiful play area for the students of the Junior School. She praised the good work being done by the staff of the school in bringing quality education to so many students at an affordable cost. The function was attended by the Hon. Vice Chairman, Hon. Asst Secretary, Hon. Member Finance, Hon Member Academics, Hon Member. Sports of the Executive Committee , Principal and Vice Principal of the Isa Town Campus, and a large number of Parents. The Principal of the Riffa Campus while thanking the Chairman, Secretary and Members of the Executive Committee said that it was the team work under the guidance of the Vice Principal Mrs. Pamela Xavier that made this possible.
