Punjabi Divas celebrated at the Indian School

Punjabi Divas celebrated at the Indian School The Indian School celebrated the Punjabi Divas in the Isa town campus. Mr. Anand Prakash, the Second Secretary of the Embassy was the Chief Guest of the function and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Devendar Singh Sandhu. The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp. Mr. Anand Prakash highlighted about Punjabi language and its greatness. He expressed that every language has its own beauty and Punjabi is a class apart. Dr. Sandhu in his address said that wherever we are in life, we should never forget our roots. He emphasized the richness of the Punjabi literature and its contribution to India. Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Hon. Member Transport and Discipline in his address said that the culture of Punjab is unique and everyone should try to keep it up. He said that such days remind everyone of their cultural identity and the diversity of India. Mr. Khursheed Alam, E C Member Academics expressed happiness in the manner in which the culture was depicted here and congratulated the teachers and the students alike. Prizes were distributed to the students who won various competitions. A variety of cultural programmes were conducted which showcased the vibrant nature of Punjab. Mrs. Jagdeep Kaur the teacher in charge of the event proposed the vote of thanks.
