Tarang 2016 Grand Finale & Award Ceremony

The Indian School celebrated the splash of talent and creativity with the Grand finale and the award distribution of TARANG 2016 HELD IN THE Isa town campus. The campus was abuzz with colour and fun throughout the month long activity. 136 events spread across a month culminated today. 996 glittering trophies were up for grabs. There were around 996 winners who got a chance to lay their hands on the prizes. An event of huge magnitude the school can only be proud of all the participants. The strength of participation is the strength of the school. Varieties of competitions were held in arts, cultural and literary avenues. ISB houses more than 12000 students and to be a winner in ISB is a great achievement. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the welcome address by the Principal Mr. V R Palaniswamy. He welcomed the guests and congratulated all the winners and their parents. He said that he is proud of the ISB staff, who over the years have made this event a grand success. The Hon. Chairman Mr. Prince S Natarajan in his Presidential address congratulated everyone and declared the name of the prestigious Championship awards that everyone was keenly looking forward to. He said that these are moments of joy for him in his life. This was received by thunderous applause from the audience. The Hon. Secretary Dr. Shemily P John in her address stressed on the need to combine curricular and co-curricular activities together. Students should be a blend of both. She asked everyone to be gracious in their victory too. The Hon. Vice-Chairman and Member Incharge of Activities Mr. Muhammed Iqbal presented the salient features of the youth festival and acknowledged the people behind the show. In his address the Chief Guest Mr. Ausamah Bin Abdullah Alabsi, Chief Executive LMRA expressed happiness on being invited to be a part of this mega event. He congratulated students, parents and the staff for their wonderful commitment. He said that students need overall development and ISB has been providing such an environment. The Guest of Honour Mr. M V V Prasada Rao Director CBSE appreciated the school management, administration and staff for providing the platform for the students to showcase their inherent talents which will boost their self-confidence. Other Guests of Honour Mr. Tariq Al Absi Debt Collection Manager of ASRY, Mr. Bhagwan Asarpota Chairman ICRF, Mr. Devendar Sharma Educationist, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed CEO & Managing Director of Shakeel Trading also congratulated the students and the school for such a grand event and a disciplined effort. The Karalratna, Group Champions and House stars made their presence felt with their coveted trophies. Other students who won prizes in the various stage, non-stage and group events marched one by to receive the awards. It was a proud moment for all. J C Bose House was declared the overall champion house with 1933 points and the runners up were Aryabhatta house with 1918 points. The House Masters and their deputies were gleaming with joy on receiving the rolling trophy from the Chief Guest. Present during the event were other Executive Committee Members of the school Dr. Manoj Kumar the Hon. Asst. Secretary, Mr. Mohammed Khursheed Alam Hon. Member Academics, Mr. S K Ramachandran Hon. Member Finance, Mr. Saji Anthony Hon. Member IT, Mr. Jayafar Maidani Hon. Member Sports, staff representative Mrs. Priya Laji, teachers, parents and prize winners. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Head teacher of activities Mr. Sreekanth Sreedharan. The programme also featured winning group events performed by students of Classes 4 to 12.
