Minister Gen. V K Singh visits the Indian School
Gen. V K Singh, the Minister of State for External Affairs, government of India visited the Indian School, Isa town campus and addressed the gathering of students and teachers. Gen. V K Singh, the former Chief of the Indian Army in his address stressed upon the importance of honour in every one’s life. He added that one should be capable and for that we have to acquire knowledge, strength and wisdom. Our actions should be positive and this will lead us tom our goals in life. He said that honour is what we strive for in our life. He was reminded of his school days in this gathering and he shared his experience with the students. It is what his school days have taught him that he carries his life even today. He added that students will start missing school once they are out of school. He wished the students the very best in all future endeavours. Earlier the Minister was welcomed by the Hon. Chairman Mr. Prince S Natarajan. In his address Mr. Prince S Natarajan said that welcoming a minister of his stature was indeed a proud moment for the school. We all have lessons to learn from him. The Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of India to Bahrain Shri Alok Kumar Sinha. The Minister was presented a memento in the presence of the Hon. Chairman Mr. Prince S Natarajan, Hon. Secretary Dr. Shemily P John, Hon. Vice-Chairman Mr. Muhammed Iqbal, Hon. Asst. Secretary Dr. Manoj Kumar, Hon. Member Academics Mr. Khursheed Alam, Hon. Member IT Mr. Saji Anthony, Hon. Member Transport and Discipline Mr. Bhupinder Singh, Mrs. Priya Laji staff representative, Principal of Riffa Campus Mr. Sudhir Krishnan, Vice-Principals, staff and students of CBSE schools in Bahrain. Students from New Indian School, Ibn Al Hytm School, New Millennium School, Bahrain Indian School and Al Noor International school were also present. Hon. Secretary Dr. Shemily P John in her vote of thanks expressed gratitude at the visit and interaction with the students and asked everyone to give the minster a standing ovation. In his parting note in the visitors book the minister mentioned that he was happy to interact with the students.
