Indian athlete PU Chithra visits ISB

Indian athlete PU Chithra visits ISB Indian track and field athlete P.U Chithra who won gold medal at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships visited the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) recently. She was accompanied by her coach NS Sijin. Indian School Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Vice Chairman Muhammad Iqbal, EC Member Sports Jayafar Maidani, EC Member IT Saji Antony, Principal VR Planiswamy, Vice Principals, Physical education teachers and students gave a warm reception to the athlete. The athlete interacted with the students and physical education teachers. ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan presented a memento to her. Chithra won the Gold Medal in 1500m at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships in Bhubaneshwar with a time of 4.17.92 seconds to seal a World Championships place. The previous year she won gold medals in the 1500m, 3000m, 5000m race and 3 km cross country in 59th Indian National School Games, Ranchi, Orissa.
