ISB Football Team Advances to Pre-Quarters in National Championship

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) football team has showcased an impressive performance in the CBSE nationals held in Kerala, securing a spot in the pre-quarters. Emerging as leaders in group D, they have earned the right to compete among the top 16 teams in the league, a testament to their skill and determination.

A total of 41 schools, representing regions from across India and the Gulf, are participating in the CBSE nationals. The teams were divided into groups, and ISB found themselves in group D alongside Central Hindu Boys Sen. Sec School, Varanasi; Our Own High School, Al Warqa; Takshila Academy, Uttar Pradesh; Nashik Cambridge School, Maharashtra; and The Indian School, Bahrain.

In their journey to the pre-quarters, the ISB demonstrated their prowess on the field. They kicked off their campaign with a resounding 3-1 victory against Central Hindu Boys Sen. Sec School, Varanasi, where Jeremiah netted twice, and Hafeez contributed with one goal. The momentum continued in their second match, triumphing over Our Own High School with a scoreline of 3-1, courtesy of Hafeez's double and Ammar's goal.

Though facing a setback in their third match against Takshila Academy  with a 1-0 loss, ISB rebounded strongly in their fourth encounter against Nashik Cambridge School, securing a commanding 6-0 win. Hafeez stole the spotlight with a hat-trick, while Gavril, Beno, and Jeremiah each added a goal to the impressive tally.

The ISB football team's journey in the CBSE nationals reflects their resilience, teamwork, and individual brilliance, setting the stage for an exciting pre-quarter final clash as they vie for further glory on the national stage.
