Pamela Xavier

She is a specialist in Kindergarten and Primary Education spanning 3 decades, 20 years have been with GEMS Education, the largest provider of Education in the UAE; of which a decade at Senior Leadership positions. A topper and gold medalist at the graduate level in Psychology, she has a Bachelor's degree in Education and a first class in MBA - Education Management.

She has been a recipient of the Teacher of the Year award from GEMS, Dubai in 1996 and 2006. She is an accredited Teacher Trainer and has conducted several workshops for teachers in UAE, Bahrain and India. She has headed Parental Engagement programmes, been a panel member of School Review teams and has been instrumental in strengthening curricular practices of Everonn Public Schools, India. She has been part of the VGF Pratham "It's Good to Talk" programme; an initiative to train rural teachers in India in spoken English. Pamela is a qualified French teacher. She is also a trained pianist and has scripted and directed many theatrical productions for children, in addition to the recording and audio release of 'The KGS Learning Tune' - a collection of songs for kindergartners.

Mr. Rajesh Govindan Nair

Mr. Rajesh Govindan Nair, Vice Principal [AA] and Senior PGT in Economics at The Indian School, Bahrain, is an accomplished educator with over 19 years of teaching experience at the higher secondary level. Holding a Master’s degree in and a Bachelor of Education in Social Science , he is deeply passionate about teaching Economics and inspiring students to explore the subject with curiosity and critical thinking. His career began in CBSE schools across Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar before joining The Indian School, Bahrain, where he has served with distinction for nearly two decades. As Head of the Humanities Department, he has successfully mentored faculty, fostered a culture of continuous learning, and implemented strategies that enhanced departmental performance. His contributions extend beyond academics—coordinating ISO 9001:2015 certification and audit procedures, Co ordinator of the BQA Assessment and Evaluation 2025, facilitating CBSE, NEET, and CUET examinations, and actively participating in organizing major school events such as Youth Festivals and Mega Fairs. Known for his integrity, team management skills, and commitment to student support, Mr. Rajesh has also conducted various quiz competitions and guided faculty with constructive feedback to improve teaching practices. Priya Laji

Priya Laji assumes the role of Vice-Principal at the Indian School Riffa Campus, bringing an impressive 23 years of experience in teaching English at the ISB. Hailing from Chennai, she holds an M.A. in English Literature and a B.Ed. Notably, Ms. Laji served as the Head of the English department for three years and later as the Head Teacher for Primary Section, classes 4 and 5, for six years. Recognized for her excellence in teaching, she is also passionate about public speaking. Furthermore, her editorial skills shine through as she served as the School Magazine Editor, reflecting her commitment to both education and effective communication.
