The organization of the conference is spearheaded by an organizing team consisting entirely of students and documented by a media team. The programme started with the national anthem of Bahrain and India. Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering. Secretary General Falak Syed Afroz and Deputy Secretary General Zinnia Noel Fernandes addressed the gathering and declared the ISBMUN conference open. In his felicitation address the ISB chairman Prince S Natarajan said the conference would help enrich the participants speaking, debating, and writing skills, in addition to critical thinking and leadership abilities. “In this era of globalization, learning about the world is more important than everâ€, Prince S Natarajan said. Students proceeded to their councils to discuss and debate the issues of their respective councils. The delegates were divided into various councils and each council’s debate was led by chairs who directed the proceedings in true UN diplomatic style. For the first time, ISBMUN is welcoming students from different schools in Bahrain including the New Millennium School-DPS, Al Noor International School and New Indian School. "The ISBMUN is an opportunity for students to explore their oratory and debating skills; it teaches them how to think critically and improves their confidenceâ€, said Secretary General Falak Syed Afroz. "The conference gives an opportunity in sharing common experiences with teammates and friends, and students learn about the world as they prepare for Model UN conferences,†said Deputy Secretary General Zinnia Noel Fernandes. The entire ISBMUN conference is organised by students with help from ISBMUN director Uma Rajendran and staff members. At the closing ceremony on Saturday (April 27) various awards will be distributed to the delegates who excelled in each Council. The Indian School Kingdom of Bahrain
