Enthusiastic students and teachers participated in the plantation drive under the guidance of teachers. The ISB nature club was established in 2015 with the aim of creating awareness among students regarding the protection of nature and inculcating love for eco-friendly campus. The theme of the club is Green ISB, Green Bahrain. The club activities include gardening, botanical field trip and nature preservation. The ISB nature club this year has around 60 members with boys and girls from standard IV to XII. The club’s future plans include visiting agricultural farms, wildlife reserves and camel farm, organising seminars on environment concern and various competitions in association with ISB quiz club. Taking learning outside of the classroom walls, the Indian School has set aside campus area for gardening activities for nature club members. These activities also provide a great opportunity for the teachers to educate students on different plant types, how they grow, and how to successfully care for them. ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Secretary Saji Antony, EC Member -Health and Environment Ajayakrishnan V and Principal VR Palaniswamy congratulated the nature club members and teachers who actively participated in the green mission.
