ISB Riffa Campus Celebrates Republic Day

The Indian School Riffa Campus students celebrated India's 72nd Republic Day on the virtual platform with high patriotic spirits and festivities.Children and teachers were in tricolour attire marking the Republic Day. Beginning with the national anthem of India to commemorate this big day, students in the presence of peers, parents and teachers showcased patriotic dances, roleplays, songs and played musical instruments, delivered speeches and messages of peace and unity. Holding high their hand-crafted Indian flag, they saluted and paid tribute to the national legends who led India to become a secular, sovereign republic. Filled with enthusiasm, students adorned their homes to the themes of the day, presented thematic and delectable cuisines, drew pictures of national repute revering the beauty of India through their aesthetic imagination. A colourful amalgamation of unity in diversity was observed throughout the events on the occasion. Students were enlightened on the national and cultural history and the legacy we safeguard and to continue to be socially aware residents. It was a proud day when the diverse cultures unified and took delight in glorifying and celebrating with the spirit of India. The social media and ISB’s virtual platform are teeming with photographs of students' activities of the day. The 2021 Republic Day celebrations were uniquely different. Each student had the opportunity to virtually participate in the class-room celebrations as well as in the live telecast of the flag hoisting ceremony held at the Indian Embassy. ISB Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier congratulated the students and teachers for their active participation in organising the celebrations.
