Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has started a series of events celebrating the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi , the "Father of the Nation" who was a pioneer of truth and non-violence. To mark the celebration of the 152th birth anniversary of the Mahatma, the Indian School is organizing activities for children. The Middle Section students celebrated the birth anniversary virtually this year with various programmes online. The students of the school paid a creative homage to Gandhiji by making thoughtful posters, paintings, catchy slogans, speeches, maintaining cleanliness and showcasing the importance of the environment and healthy diet in life. The students of the school paid special tributes to the Father of the Nation through their inspiring write-ups on the significance of Gandhian principles in life.Rajeevan Rajkumar,Class VII student wrote in his article: ''Gandhiji not only gave India its freedom but also gave the world and us a new thought on nonviolence and sustainable living. '' Celebrations will continue till October 14,during activity periods. ISB Hon. Chairman Prince S Natarajan,Hon.
