Indian School Wins 23 Medals in Athletics Meet
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has won 23 medals in the Athletic Meet organised by Bahrain School and Collegiate Athletic Association last week. The ISB athletes won 13 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals in the Meet in which most of the private schools took part. The ISB Athletics team which is participating in the meet after two years came out with flying colours and performed extremely well in all the events. Here are the winners: Middle School Girls 1. Agnus Chacko (8th grade) won 400m gold, 200m bronze and 4x100m relay gold. 2. Alphonsa Chacko (9th grade) won 4x100m relay gold. 3. Saniya Shaji (9th grade) won 200m silver, 800m silver, and 4x100m relay gold. 4. Darshana S (8th grade) won 4x100m relay gold. Middle School Boys 1. Rayaan Rafeeq (9th grade) won 100m gold, 200m gold, and 400m gold. High School Girls 1. Irene Rose (12th grade) won 200m silver, 400m silver, 800m gold, 1500m gold and 4x100m relay gold. 2. Jayashree M (11th grade) won 100m silver, 400m bronze and 4x100m relay gold. 3. Aleema Ashraf (11th grade) won 4x100m relay gold. 4. Michelle D’souza (12th grade) won 4x100m relay gold. High School Boys 1. Khalid Umar(10 grade) won 100m gold, 4x100m relay gold. 2. Mohammed Hafeez(10 grade) won 200m bronze, 400m gold, 1500m gold, 4x 100m relay gold. 3. Nikhil Manoj (11 grade) won 4x100m relay gold. 4. Muhamed Jameel (12 grade) won 200m silver, 4x100m relay gold.
