Indian School gears up for Mega Fair
After a gap of three years, the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) is once again gearing up for the Mega Fair 2022. The mega fair will be held on November 23, 24 and 25 at the Isa Town campus of the Indian School. An elaborate organizing committee has been formed for this purpose. The 501-member committee comprises of parents, teachers, and social workers. The organizing committee, with business leader P Shanavas as general convener and Muhammad Malim as patron, consists of Indian School Executive Committee representatives and people from various walks of life. This is the 5th Mega Fair held under the leadership of Indian School Chairman Prince S Natarajan and Secretary Saji Antony,having a wealth of experience of four previous mega fairs which were a huge success. Separate committees have been formed under the leadership of parents and teachers. These committees will work together for the success of the fair. The organizing committee has already held two meetings and evaluated the activities. About twelve thousand students from different countries are studying in the Indian School Bahrain. The School Fair is mainly organized to help economically backward students by giving fee waivers. Also, funds will be collected through the fair to strengthen the infrastructure of the school and ensure the welfare of the teachers. There are many students in the school who face inexplicable financial hardships. Prince S Natarajan and Secretary Saji Antony said that as a community school, it is the responsibility of the school to help the needy. One of the lowest fee-charging institutions in the GCC, the Indian School helps thousands of students every year with fee waivers and other benefits. The school fair will be accompanied by a Food Festival and a science exhibition by students. On the first day, the finale of the school youth festival Tarang will be held on the grounds. The second day will feature South Indian music programs led by Idea star singer fame Mridula Warrier and the concluding day will feature a musical mela led by Bollywood singer Bhumi Trivedi. As part of the fair, the students' art exhibition will be a new experience for the visitors. General Convenor Shanavaz and Patron Muhammad Malim said that the Indian School Mega Fair is getting enthusiastic response from all sectors of the expatriate community. After a gap of three years, the Indian School is getting good response for stall booking in the fair. Celebrations will be held from 6 pm to 11 pm. The Indian School will provide ample parking facilities for those who come to visit the fair. Parking facilities will be provided at the stadium near the Indian School and in the adjacent school grounds. The Indian School football ground will have entertainment and related stalls. Food stalls and other commercial stalls will be arranged at the basketball ground. There will be various entertainment programs for children. Various cultural programs conducted by Indian School students will be organized in the fair. The mega fair food stalls will offer an opportunity to experience the culinary diversity from different states of India. The fair and its premises will be under CCTV surveillance. The Indian School Mega Fair provides an opportunity for expatriate families to participate in and enjoy fun activities. Food stalls and game stalls will be set up by teachers from both campuses of the Indian School. The exhibition will have various playgrounds for children to enjoy the fair.The organizers informed that a separate exhibition will be prepared including water show, property, medical, education, finance and garment trade sectors.
