Stage set for the Indian School Youth Festival 'Tarang 2022'
Stage events for The Indian School Youth Festival ‘Tarang 2022’ will start in the school’s Isa Town campus at 6pm tomorrow (Sunday). It will start with folk dance, mime and mono act for various levels. With more than 4000 students participating in 120 events, the ISB Youth Fest is considered one of the biggest school youth festivals in the Gulf countries. The stage events will continue till November 19 and the Grand Finale is scheduled to take place in the Indian School Mega Fair venue on November 23. The prestigious Kalashree and Kalapratibha awards and House champion awards will be presented at the grand finale. For the past two weeks, students have been participating in non-stage events and preliminary competitions for group events. All the students in the Isa Town campus participated in the Essay writing competition in four levels held recently. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions, the School Youth Festival was held online for the past two years. The Indian School follows the House system in which students are grouped into Aryabhatta, Vikram Sarabhai, JC Bose and CV Raman competing to win the laurels. The students who score the most points in stage and non-stage events will be eligible for the Kalashree and Kalapratibha awards. The Indian School has created special software for flawless and quick result declarations. Prizes will be distributed to the winners at the finale. Around 800 trophies await the young talents. Hon.Chairman Prince S Natarajan said that the school is committed to conduct the Youth Festival in an impeccable and orderly manner without allowing any complaints. Hon.Secreatary Saji Antony said that Tarang youth festival is the most awaited youth festival in the calendar of the Indian school where 12000 students study in two campuses. Principal VR Palaniswamy said that there was enthusiastic participation from the students in the recently concluded non-stage competitions.
