The Indian School Celebrates Nishka

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated ‘Nishka-2024’ at its Isa Town Campus on Wednesday, September25, with a variety of events and activities designed to showcase the talents and skills of its commerce and humanities students. The talent festival was organized by the Departments of Commerce and Humanities of the school. Principal VR Palaniswamy inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. During the valedictory function, ISB Hon.Asst.Secretary &Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners. Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, Head Teachers  and  teachers attended the ceremony. Abigail Ellis Shibu,Kezikerena Libin,Megha Ann Rebi,Avani. K Deepak and Fathima Mohomed Nalim were the masters of ceremonies.  Nishka is a fusion of creativity which gives students an excellent opportunity to look beyond the boundaries of classroom learning. It’s a day of learning with fun for Classes XI and XII Commerce and Humanities students.  A Quiz competition was conducted with so many interesting rounds to assess the general knowledge of the students in various fields. Quiz Master Rajesh Nair conducted the quiz. A display board competition was held for    class 11 and   class 12. It provided a unique opportunity for students to promote creative thinking and to develop artistic skills.  Eat-Fit was a salad making competition to encourage a healthy lifestyle. It was conducted to help the students to know about the importance of varieties of healthy salad and to experience hospitality management. The Fashionista contest showcased the latest fashion trends, allowing students to express their creativity and style while engaging in a vibrant celebration of contemporary fashion and design. Heads of the Departments Biju Vasudevan (Commerce), Rajesh Nair (Humanities) and their team coordinated the programme.  ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Executive Committee members, and Principal V.R Palaniswamy extended their congratulations to the students and teachers for their outstanding performance during Nishka celebrations.

The Indian School is a CBSE affiliated school located in Bahrain. It was founded in the year 1950. The Indian School, Bahrain has around 12,000 students and is one of the largest co-ed schools in the Gulf.
