ISB Youth Festival: Aryabhata House Wins Overall Championship

 Aryabhata House emerged as the overall champions of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Youth Festival Tarang 2024, clinching the top spot with 1,926 points. The award ceremony, held at the ISB campus in Isa Town on Thursday, saw intense competition among the four houses. Vikram Sarabhai House secured the runners-up position with 1,869 points, while CV Raman House followed with 1,775 points to take third place. JC Bose House finished in fourth with 1,614 points.

Krishna Rajeevan Nair, a class XII student from CV Raman House, was honoured with the esteemed Kalaratna Award, earning an impressive 73 points. She had previously won the Kalaratna Award in 2017 and 2022 as well. Krishna Rajeevan Nair  topped the school with 98.2% marks in CBSE class X exam in 2023.
The festival also recognized outstanding Group Champion performers in various levels. Arun Suresh of Aryabhata House topped Level A with 58 points, while Shreya Muralidharan from Vikram Sarabhai House claimed the top spot in Level B with 68 points. Aryabhata House’s Araina Mohanty emerged as the winner of Level C with 51 points, and Blesswin Brawin from Vikram Sarabhai House triumphed in Level D with 39 points. The House Star awards were presented to the following top performers from each house: Adyaja Santhosh (Aryabhata House) with 39 points, Nakshatra Raj (Vikram Sarabhai House) with 63 points, Priyamvada N Shaju (CV Raman House) with 44 points, and Nirmal Kuzhikattu (JC Bose House) with 41 points.
Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp in the presence of  Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman and  Hon. Member HSSE & Sports  Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon.Asst.Secretary & Hon. Member-Academics  Ranjini Mohan, Hon.Member -Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Hon.Member  Biju George, Hon.Member -Transport  Mohammad Nayaz Ullah,Principal VR  Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal  G Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas.
Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering.  Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese declared Aryabhata House as the overall champions, presenting the awards. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian. The event featured a range of prize-winning performances, including folk dance, Arabic dance and Western dance. Earlier the  programme began with the national anthems of Bahrain and India, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the lighting of the lamp, and the school prayer. The ISB Youth Festival, one of the largest of its kind in the Gulf, saw more than 5,000 students participating in 121 events, making it a truly memorable celebration of talent and teamwork. Hon. Rajapandian, EC Members, and Principal V.R Palaniswamy extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winners, applauding their exceptional achievements and dedication.
