Huge Crowd Gathers at ISB’s Cultural Fair

The first day of the much-anticipated ISB Annual Cultural Fair 2024 was a resounding success, attracting a huge crowd of visitors and showcasing remarkable teamwork among the school community. Held at the Indian School grounds in Isa Town, the Fair saw a vibrant turnout of parents, students, teachers, and well-wishers, all united in their enthusiasm to celebrate the school’s cultural diversity and artistic talent.

Indian Ambassador Vinod K Jacob inaugurated the fair in the presence of Ministry of Labour Asst. Undersecretary Ahmed Al Hayki, Private Education Director Lulwa Ghassan Al Muhanna, Director of Risk Assessment and Legal Affairs (Ministry of Education) Reem Abodh Al Sanaei,General Directorate of Traffic Captain Khulood Yahya Ebrahim,Lt.Gen. Shaikha Ahood Abdulla Ahmed al Khalifa,  BKG Holding and Qatar Engineering Laboratories Chairman & General Manager KG Baburajan, Amad Baeed Electrical Managing Director Pambavasan Nair, ICRF Chairman Adv.VK Thomas,  ISB Hon.Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. In his speech, the Indian Ambassador Vinod K Jacob praised the achievements of the Indian School students, specifically highlighting the active participation of ISB children in the quiz contest organized by the Ministry of External Affairs, India. Out of the 8,000 registrations from Bahrain for the Bharat Ko Janiye quiz, 3,200 were from Indian School. Extracurricular activities receive significant attention at the school. The Ambassador also commended the school for adhering to the laws of the land. Mementos were presented to the guests. Principal VR Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering. Hon.Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese gave the presidential address.  Hon.Secretary V Rajapandian gave vote of thanks.

Singer Vineeth Sreenivasan and team captivated the audience with peppy numbers. The excitement was palpable, as attendees eagerly participated in the various activities, enjoyed performances, and sampled delicious cuisines from food stalls offering local and regional dishes. As the fair continues on Friday, anticipation remains high for the North Indian musical performances   led by musician and singer Tia Kar, along with more fun-filled activities and cultural displays.  

The school’s dedication to promoting unity and supporting quality education was evident in the fair’s success, with all proceeds from the event going towards enhancing the school’s educational initiatives. The involvement of the entire school community played a key role in making the fair not only an enjoyable occasion but also a meaningful one. ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Executive Committee Members, Principal VR Palaniswamy, and Organizing Committee General Convener Vipin Kumar expressed their heartfelt thanks to the parents, teachers and students and well-wishers for their invaluable support in making the first day of the fair a resounding success.
