ISB Enters Golden Book of Records with Triple World Records

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Junior Wing has officially entered the Golden Book of World Records (GBWR) today (December 15,2025) at its campus in Riffa. The triple records were achieved during the  Bahrain National Day celebrations with great pride and patriotism  on the school grounds. The following are the three world records set by the ISB successfully in a single day:

            •           Largest human depiction of a national flag

            •           Most people saluting the national flag simultaneously

            •           Most people chanting a slogan in three languages

 

A total of 3,700 ISB students from Primary and Kindergarten sections, supported by dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, participated in the  grand human formation of the National Flag of Bahrain, symbolizing unity, national pride, and respect for the Kingdom and adding brilliance to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the school. 

The slogans raised included: Aashath-Al Bahrain (Arabic – Long Live Bahrain), We Love Bahrain, and  Humara Bahrain Mahaan.

The event was honoured by the presence of ministry officials along with  ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman & Hon. Member - Sports  Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon.Asst.Secretary & Hon. Member-Academics  Ranjini Mohan, Hon.Member-Finance&IT  Bonny Joseph, Hon.Member -Projects &Maintenance Mithun Mohan,Hon.Member  Biju George, Hon.Member -Transport  Mohammad Nayaz Ullah,  Principal VR  Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal  G Satheesh and Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji. 

Principal Pamela Xavier delivered welcome address.  It was followed by the  National Day message by the Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese highlighting the values of unity, patriotism, and respect for the Kingdom. Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian gave vote of thanks. Bahraini cultural performances were staged, adding vibrancy and splendour to the celebrations. The entire school campus was adorned in colourful decorations befitting the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Head Boy Fabyon Franco Francis and Head Girl Lakshita Rohit addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the occasion and expressing gratitude to all participants. The programme concluded with the official declaration of the setting of world records by  by Dr. Manish Kumar Vishnoei, Asia Head, GBWR.  Earlier the  programme commenced with the formation of the national flag, followed by the flag hoisting and the national anthem. Verses from the Holy Quran were recited, invoking blessings for the nation. This was followed by the release of balloons by the dignitaries, adding to the celebratory spirit of the event.  ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, EC Members,  Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier  and Senior School &  Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the students and parents, appreciating their dedication and cultural engagement. The event stood as a powerful testament to ISB’s commitment to instilling national pride, unity, and respect for Bahrain among students from a young age, while setting a remarkable milestone through its ambitious world record attempts.
