ISB Riffa Campus Holds KG Sporting Gala

 The Indian School Riffa campus  was a spectacle of vibrant hues on a Friday during the Kindergarten Sports Day, themed 'Colour Splash' season 4. With more than 1,300 KG students participating and an audience exceeding 3,000 spectators, the event proved to be a lively pageant featuring drill displays and track events. This initiative aimed to promote an all-inclusive, participatory healthy living project for KG students.

ISB Honorary Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Honorary Secretary Saji Antony, and Executive Committee Members Binu Mannil Varughese, Rajesh MN, and Ajayakrishnan V were present on the occasion. Riffa Campus Principal Pamela Xavier extended her gratitude to the Executive Committee, parents, and well-wishers for their unwavering support. The vibrant Riffa team received applause for successfully organizing the event, marking a triumphant return post-pandemic. The KG Sporting Gala stood out as a unique event on the island, providing every kindergartner with an opportunity to showcase their sporting skills.
The KG Sporting Gala Season 4 was officially inaugurated by Prince S. Natarajan, who symbolically released red and white balloons to kick off the event. In his address, he  commended Team Riffa for their dedication to mentoring students in sporting events from the KG sections. He attributed the splendid exhibition of drills and track events to their wholesome involvement. Saji Antony delivered the vote of thanks, praising the tiny tots for their impeccable performance and the staff for their outstanding support. He expressed gratitude to the parents for their steadfast support of the ISB Family.
The event was a visual delight, starting with the National Anthems and verses from the Holy Quran. Spectators marveled at the scale of the event, cheering for the exemplary talents of the little champs and the beautiful formations with colourful props led by the kindergarten teachers. The school band added a touch of class to the occasion, escorting the dignitaries. Scouts and Guides students were present to assist in the smooth conduct of the programme. Dignitaries honoured the winners of the sprinting and novelty events with medals and certificates.
The much-anticipated event concluded with the grand inauguration of a new Play Penn facility, TOT-SPOT 2, by the Chairman and EC members. Student Council members delivered speeches, emphasizing the significance of play in the all-round development of students. Prince Natarajan reiterated the school's commitment to the rationale of the National Curriculum Framework and the New National Education Policy.
EC Member-Sports Rajesh M N officially declared the Sports Meet closed, bringing the curtains down on yet another successful initiative by the Riffa Campus. The event showcased the school's dedication to fostering a holistic educational environment and promoting physical activity among its youngest learners.
