Indian School Celebrates World Scout Day and World Thinking Day

 The Indian School Bharat Scouts and Guides wing celebrated World Scout Day and World Thinking Day on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Junior Campus with various programmes. The overarching theme for the World Scout Day was ‘Scouts for a Better World,’ emphasizing the role of Scouts in contributing to positive global change. Simultaneously, the World Thinking Day revolved around the theme ‘Our World, Our Thriving Future,’ underscoring the collective responsibility for shaping a prosperous future. The event aimed to cultivate leadership qualities and instill a charitable spirit in the young participants.
ISB Honorary Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Asst. Secretary Ranjini Mohan, EC member Mithun Mohan, along with Principals VR Palaniswamy, Pamela Xavier, and Vice-Principals, graced the ceremony with their presence. Approximately 250 Cubs and Bulbuls spanning classes 1 to 5 from both campuses actively participated in the programme. Engaging in various activities, including Bulbul Greetings, Cub Greetings, and cultural performances, the young minds exhibited tremendous excitement and enthusiasm throughout the celebration.
Acknowledging the achievements of the participants, certificates were distributed to those who successfully completed the Pravesh Tests. The ceremony was orchestrated under the guidance of  Scout Masters R Chinnasamy and Vijayan Nair  and 17 Guide captains who played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the event. ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon.Secretary V Rajapandian,EC members,   Principals VR Palaniswamy and Pamela Xavier appreciated the enthusiastic participation of little ones in the programme. The celebration not only fostered a sense of unity and camaraderie among the attendees but also reinforced the values of leadership and benevolence among the budding scouts and guides, they said.
