The Indian School Honours School Toppers in Award Ceremony

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), renowned for its dedication to providing quality education and nurturing academic excellence, hosted its Annual Academic Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 30, 2024. The event was a jubilant celebration of the outstanding achievements of students in the CBSE exams, serving as a source of inspiration and motivation for all learners. Gathering in the Jashanmal auditorium at the Isa Town campus, approximately 260 top performers from both X and XII grades were honored with medals and certificates for their remarkable performance during the 2023-2024 academic year. The ceremony also recognized students listed in the principal’s honors and merit lists for their exceptional achievements.
Indian Ambassador HE Vinod K Jacob graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Hala Farouk Almoayyed, Director of YK Almoayyed & Sons, attended as the Guest of Honour. Together, they ceremoniously lit the traditional lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. Indian Embassy Attache(Education) Rajendra Kumar Meena, ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian,Hon. Vice-Chairman Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon. Asst. Secretary & Hon. Member - Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member- Finance & IT Bonny Joseph, Hon.Member - Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Hon. Member Biju George, Hon. Member-Transport Mohammad Nayaz Ullah, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela  Xavier, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, Academic Administration Vice-Principal G Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas and Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji  and parents attended. ISB former chairman Prince S Natarajan, secretary Saji Antony, former EC members  Ajayakrishnan V, Premalatha NS,community leaders Mohamed Hussain Malim, Vipin PM and  Shafi Parakatta also graced the occasion.  

Highlighting the pinnacle of academic achievement, gold medals were conferred upon Class XII school toppers including Fathima Nawarah Nawaz, Syed Aseela Maheen Abubacker, Sriprahlad Mukunthan, Haifa Mohamed Shiraz, Daneysh Subramanian, Tejal Karthikeyan, and Ann Reji John. Similarly, Class X toppers Adithyan Vyatt Nair, Giselle Sharon Fernandes, Abel John Augustine, Adhya Srijai, Anantha Krishna Sathish Bilji, and Akshatha Sravanan were acknowledged for their outstanding performance. The release of the academic special Newsletter  ‘Tidings,’ further commemorated the achievements of the students and the school.  The Indian School officials expressed sincere gratitude to former ISB Chairman Prince S. Natarajan, Secretary Saji Antony, and the EC members for their diligent nine-year management of the school's academic affairs, which has led to the remarkable achievements of the school in this year's CBSE exams.

In his inaugural address, Ambassador Vinod K Jacob lauded the exemplary performance of ISB, commending the hard work and dedication of both students and staff. He emphasized the school's tradition of excellence and its role in nurturing global citizens through holistic education beyond academic brilliance.
Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, in his presidential address, attributed the unprecedented academic success to the collaborative efforts of the ISB academic team, supported wholeheartedly by parents and teachers.
Hala Farouk Almoayyed urged students to make a positive impact on the community, affirming that true success is measured by how you uplift others and contribute to society.
Hon. Asst. Secretary & Hon. Member - Academics Ranjini Mohan affirmed that the outstanding results were a testament to the school's unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
Principal VR Palaniswamy, while presenting the milestone achievements of the CBSE results, underscored ISB's consistent pursuit of academic excellence.
Hon.Secretary V Rajapandian concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks, acknowledging that academic brilliance has always been ingrained in ISB's ethos.
Abigail Ellis Shibu, Adwait Hareesh Nair, Rebecca Ann Binu, Evana Rachel Binu, Janani Muthuraman, Ardhra Satheesh, Joel Shaiju, and Angel Maria  served as masters of ceremonies, executing the programme superbly. Earlier the  proceedings commenced with the national anthems of Bahrain and India, reading of the Holy Quran, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. A heartfelt school prayer and invocation dance set the tone for the event, encapsulating the spirit of academic excellence and communal celebration.
