The Indian School Celebrates World Environment Day

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated World Environment Day on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with the Bahrain Sub Chapter of the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and Green World Agriculture Services. The programme took place at both campuses of the school, where trees were planted.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of several distinguished individuals, including ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Asst. Secretary and Member - Academics Ranjini Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji, ISHRAE President Sughesh K. Bhaskaran, President-Elect Dharmaraj Panchanathem, Marketing Chair Sanalkumar V., Membership Chair Anilkumar C., Youth Chair Mohammed Raied (MR), Student Chair Rohit Giri (RG), and Event Partner Mustafa K. Siraj. Junior Wing Eco Ambassador Sanvika Rajesh welcomed the gathering.
During the event, children pledged that their small actions could make a significant impact on protecting the earth and saving the environment. This year's World Environment Day campaign emphasizes land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience, under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.”
