ISB Junior Wing Celebrates International Yoga Day

 The Indian School Junior Wing enthusiastically observed International Yoga Day, centering on the theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society’. This year's celebration underscored yoga's dual role in enhancing personal health and fostering social well-being.
Under the guidance of PE instructors and teachers, students showcased their dedication to yoga through a variety of practices. They engaged in breathing exercises and performed asanas like vrikshasana (tree pose), padmasana (lotus pose), and baddha konasana (butterfly pose), accompanied by serene music. Additional yoga postures aimed at revitalizing and supporting internal organs were also practiced.

Emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga, teachers encouraged students to integrate it into their daily lives. They highlighted its positive impacts on mental clarity and physical health. The session concluded with meditation and pranayama exercises, promoting conscious deep breathing for relaxation and mindfulness. Furthermore, students created vibrant charts illustrating the profound importance of yoga in daily life.
ISB Hon.Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon.Secretary V Rajapandian,Executive Committee Members,Principal VR Palaniswamy and Junior  Wing Principal Pamela Xavier appreciated the students for their active participation in the Yoga Day celebrations. Participation in International Yoga Day not only reinforces the cultural heritage of yoga but also emphasizes its contemporary relevance in promoting holistic well-being.  Through their active engagement in yoga practices and educational initiatives, ISB students continue to uphold the spirit of this global celebration, contributing to a healthier and more harmonious society’,they said.
