The Indian School Celebrates Teachers’ Day

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) marked Teachers’ Day with a series of events on September 5 at the Isa Town campus to celebrate and honour teachers.  Prefects council members presented greeting cards and distributed sweets to the teachers in appreciation of their service. Middle Section students participated in a special assembly and  delivered speeches about the significance of Teachers' Day. Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Head Teacher Sreeja Pramod Das, and coordinators were present to honour the teachers. The ceremony featured a speech  from student  Prethika A. Thirukonda.  Aakash Renju Nair and Niya Naveen were masters of ceremonies.  All the grade 8 class teachers were honored on stage, with special recognition given to Senior Middle Section Teacher Leegy Kuruvachan for her remarkable 30 years of dedicated service.

ISB Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, ISB Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, EC Members, and Principal VR Palaniswamy praised the remarkable dedication of teachers, highlighting their crucial role in nurturing young minds and guiding them towards greatness, and expressed deep appreciation for their invaluable contribution to the school.
In India, Teachers' Day is celebrated annually on September 5 in honor of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the esteemed philosopher and statesman who served as the first Vice President of India (1952–1962) and the second President of India (1962–1967).
