The Indian School Wins 2 Medals in Hockey

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has won two medals in the School Boys (U-17) 6-a-side Hockey Tournament organized by the Bahrain Hockey Association. The tournament took place at the Al Ettihad Sports Club in Bilad Al Qadeem on November 1, 2024. In 2023, The Indian School incorporated hockey into its physical education curriculum, and over 100 students are now participating in the sport. This marks the school's first medal in hockey since its introduction, a significant achievement that the school is proud to celebrate. Two teams from The Indian School participated in the tournament: Team B secured third place, while Team A achieved fourth place. The trophies were presented by Chief Guest Mohamed Afzal Bhatti in the presence of Bahrain Hockey Association President Sami Mohamed Ali and ISB Physical Education Head of Department Sridhar Siva.
The members of the ISB team that won third place are: Aryan Arun Kumar (7G), Saud Syed (7F), Roshan Diamond Louis (7N), Rohan Diamond Louis (6M), Thineth Thathsara (7H), Sachitt Pillewar (7C), Devanand Aneesh (7B), and Aadya Samiran (7W). Roshan Diamond Louis was awarded Best Player.
The members of the ISB team that secured fourth place are: Mohammad Imaadudeen (10A), Naithan Thanooj (10C), Sukhraj Singh (10B), Sarthak Kapse (10B), Adrita Karmokar (10B), Muhammed Rishal (8G), Muhammed Thalha (8G), and Subburaj Muthamil Selvan (9W). Mohammad Imaadudeen received the Best Player award for this team.
ISB Honorary Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Honorary Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon.Vice-Chairman & Hon.Member-HSSE and Sports Dr Mohammed Faizal,  Executive Committee members, and Principal V.R  Palaniswamy congratulated the school team members and hockey coach Sridhar Siva on the achievements.
