The Indian School Honours Platinum Jubilee Logo Design Winner
Johan Johnson Titus, a 17-year-old commerce student from The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), was honoured during the Republic Day celebrations for designing the ISB Platinum Jubilee logo. The logo, which was created using Canva, stands as a symbol of the school’s 75th anniversary and reflects Johan’s creative talents. Johan, a student of Informatics Practices, has also designed several posters for Sharon Fellowship Church and for ISB events, including posters for the school’s recent farewell.
The logo design is a testament to Johan’s vision of representing the school’s adaptability, heritage, and unity. The use of different colour backgrounds in the design highlights the school’s versatility, while the inclusion of the official school logo symbolizes its rich history. The tagline ‘75 Years of Illuminating Minds’ ties back to the school’s motto, ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya,’ meaning ‘Lead me from darkness to light.’ The circular ring in the logo represents unity and continuity, encapsulating the school’s enduring legacy. Johan, who hails from Chengannur in Kerala, India, joined the ISB in 2022. He is the son of Titus Johnson, the manager of Regal Maintenance, and Aliyamma Titus. His brother, Jeremy Johnson, resides in Canada, while his other sibling, Joshua Mathew Titus, is currently a class 12 student at the ISB.
Johan’s creative efforts have been acknowledged by the school’s leadership, including Hon. Vice-Chairman & Hon. Member HSSE and Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal and Hon.Member-Finance&IT Bonny Joseph, who presented him with the prize. ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon.Secretary V. Rajapandian, Executive Committee members and Principal VR Palaniswamy congratulated Johan for his exceptional design, which blends minimalism with versatility to mark a significant milestone in in the school’s history.
