ISB Shines in Platinum Jubilee Badminton Tournament

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) marked a proud moment in its Platinum Jubilee year by not only hosting but also excelling in the ISB @ 75 Junior & Senior Open Badminton Tournament, held at its Isa Town campus from May 6 to May 10, 2025. Demonstrating the school’s dedication to holistic development, ISB students delivered outstanding performances across age categories:

  • Aayu Anuj (Class 1, Junior Campus) – Runner-up, Under 9 Boys Singles
  • Y. Rama (Class 5) – Runner-up, Under 11 Boys Doubles
  • Arjun Arun Kumar (Class 6) – Winner, Under 13 Boys Singles
  • Aadhya Anuj (Class 6) – Winner, Under 13 Girls Doubles
  • Baron Biju – Runner-up, Under 15 Boys Singles; Winner, Under 15 Boys Doubles (with Bary Biju); Runner-up, Under 17 Boys Doubles
  • Sai Sreenivas Arunkumar – Winner, Under 17 Boys Doubles; Runner-up, Under 19 Boys Doubles
The five-day sporting spectacle featured over 400 matches, establishing it as one of the largest badminton tournaments in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The prestigious event, organised by ISB and sponsored by National Trading House WLL, brought together elite players from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Conducted in accordance with Badminton World Federation (BWF) rules and officiated by certified umpires, the tournament reflected ISB’s commitment to promoting excellence in sports.
ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman & Hon. Member HSSE and Sports  Dr. Mohammed Faizal, EC members,  Principal V. R. Palaniswamy, and Jubilee General Convener Prince S. Natarajan congratulated the winners saying these  achievements underscore  the school’s strong sporting culture and the high calibre of its players.
