The Indian School Celebrates International Yoga Day

 The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) observed the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and unity on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The event brought together students and teachers  to celebrate the ancient discipline of yoga, underscoring its vital role in fostering physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The programme was graced by Principal  VR Palaniswamy, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal  G. Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal  Jose Thomas, Head of the Physical Education Department  Sridhar Siva S,  Physical Education teachers, and enthusiastic students.
This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ highlights the dual benefits of yoga—enhancing personal wellness and contributing to collective harmony. The theme reflects the belief that inner peace and self-care are foundational to a healthy and fulfilling life. Through this celebration, the school reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting the timeless values of yoga for global health, unity, and well-being.
More than 160 students, who had been rigorously preparing for the occasion, showcased their dedication through an impressive yoga performance. The session, led by Physical Education teacher R Chinnasamy, featured a series of yoga asanas that demonstrated the students' discipline and skill.
ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V  Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman and Member- HSSE & Sports Dr Mohammed Faizal,members of the Executive Committee, and Principal VR  Palaniswamy commended the students for their spirited participation. They also extended heartfelt appreciation to the Physical Education Department for their exemplary coordination and dedication.
