ISB’s Platinum Jubilee Concert ‘Mystique Melodies’ a Grand Success

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) marked its Platinum Jubilee with resounding success as the much-awaited musical concert Star Vsion Presents ‘Mystique Melodies’ featuring the renowned Transcend Band was held on Friday, 26 September 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manama. The event, sponsored by Zain Bahrain and supported by Hikvision and Indomie, drew a large audience and created an enchanting atmosphere with a rich blend of pan-Indian music.

The evening witnessed a mesmerising performance by Transcend, a vibrant musical collective acclaimed for its genre-defying repertoire and multilingual versatility. The band captivated the audience with soulful ghazals, stirring Sufi melodies, nostalgic light music, and electrifying film soundtracks in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and English, covering Bollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood, and more.

ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese expressed his heartfelt gratitude in a message: “We are deeply thankful to our parents, alumni, and well-wishers whose generous contributions made this Platinum Jubilee  concert a memorable and meaningful success. Your support will go a long way in enriching the learning environment for our students.”

Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon. Vice-Chairman and Hon. Member of HSSE and Sports, delivered the presidential address, in which he expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the resounding success of the musical event.

Principal VR  Palaniswamy welcomed the gathering. Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian gave vote of thanks.  He extended sincere appreciation to the sponsors, supporters, and the wider community for contributing to the success of Mystique Melodies and for strengthening the vision of the  ISB as a beacon of quality education in the Gulf.

General Convener Prince S. Natarajan added: “The overwhelming response to the concert reflects the enduring bond between the ISB community and the institution. We are grateful to all who supported us in this landmark celebration.”

The   concert was organised to commemorate ISB’s 75-year legacy of academic excellence while enhancing the  school’s infrastructure and educational opportunities. Parents, alumni, patrons, and well-wishers turned out in strong numbers, reaffirming their support for the institution’s vision of holistic development.

The Platinum Jubilee concert was guided by the leadership of Mohamed Hussain Malim (Patron), Sudin Abraham (Event Convener), and Janaradhnan K (Event Co-ordinator), who played pivotal roles in ensuring the smooth execution of this milestone event.

As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to Sethuraj Kadakal, Chairman, Star Vision;  Safwan Steven, Zain Sr. Director B2B&Wholesale;   Muhammed Zubair Kazi, Marketing Manager (Overseas),  Indomie;  Vignesh Kumar, Senior Sales Manager, Hikvision;   Sudin Abraham, Event Convenor of Mystique Melodies;  and   Mathew Isaac, Manager, Alloys Jalal W.L.L. Representing Hempel Paints mementos were given to  Jacob Kuruvila,Sales Director and Dinendran Padmanabhan, Logistics Head.  In addition, the artists of the Transcend Band—Yadu Krishnan, Ankesh Anand, Ishan Rojindar, Mohammed Shoaib, Vinay Verma, Nayansee Sharma, Rahul Prakash, Divesh Girish Sharma, and Vikram Devraj—were honoured with shawls in recognition of their stellar performances.
