ISB youth festival begins with a colorful celebration of creativity and talent
The Indian School’s annual youth festival, Tarang 2025, commenced with a series of non-stage literary and art events, bringing vibrant energy and creativity to the campus. Setting the tone for weeks of enthusiastic participation and artistic expression, essay writing contests were held in several languages, including Malayalam, French, Hindi, Tamil, and Urdu. In addition, students took part in English short story writing and a painting competition. Participants from various levels displayed their talents and language skills, making the opening day a lively and promising start to the festival. The English essay writing competition was held on September 29 at the Isa Town campus for all levels. This event saw a remarkable turnout, with more than 6,000 students participating. The topic for the senior level, "The Role of Youth in Nation Building," inspired thoughtful and passionate responses, reflecting the students’ awareness of their potential impact on society. The large-scale participation highlighted the enthusiasm among students and the school’s commitment to nurturing literary skills.
Yesterday (Saturday) was yet another action-packed day in the festival calendar, featuring the much-awaited Rangoli competition along with poetry writing in English and pencil drawing. Rangoli, a traditional Indian folk art where intricate and colorful patterns are created on the floor, was held for Levels A, B, and C. Each level had its own theme: “Amazing India” for Level A, “Great Indian Festivals” for Level B, and “Cultural Heritage of Bahrain” for Level C. Students participated with great energy and creativity, turning the event into a colorful and culturally rich experience. The poetry writing and pencil drawing contests also witnessed enthusiastic involvement, as students explored their artistic and literary talents in various expressive forms.
