The Indian School Wins ISB APJ Inter-Junior School Quiz Title

 

 The Indian School, Bahrain (ISB) once again proved its academic excellence by winning the First Prize in the ISB APJ Inter-Junior School Quiz Contest – Season 6, an event that witnessed remarkable participation and enthusiasm from students across the Kingdom.

The ISB team comprising Aariz Rehan Moosa and Fabyon Franco Francis emerged as the champions after a keenly contested final round on Thursday,October 16,2025. Their outstanding performance, quick thinking, and depth of knowledge earned them the coveted title. The First Runner-up position was secured by New Millennium School, represented by Shivam Tripathi and Divit Singh, while the Second Runner-up honours went to New Horizon School, represented by Samuel Jacob Sam and Diya Arun.

 

 

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, marking an auspicious beginning to the contest. H.E. Talal Mohammed Almannai, Deputy Head of the Services Committee, Shura Council, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Asst.Secretary and Hon. Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member – Projects &Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School &Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji, and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas.

The ISB APJ Inter-Junior School Quiz Contest – Season 6 was proudly sponsored by Macmillan Education and Mothercare, whose support made the event possible. Title sponsor, Mothercare, was represented by Vivek Sagar, Marketing Manager, ARG, and Zubin Phillip, Marketing Specialist, ARG. Support sponsor, Macmillan Education, was represented by Renjith Menon, Regional Sales Head, and Gaurav Chaturvedi, Senior Manager – Sales (Middle East).

 

 

A total of thirteen schools participated in the Pre-final Round, displaying an impressive level of enthusiasm and competitive spirit. Out of these, six schools qualified for the Grand Finale, namely:

•           Ibn Al-Hytham Islamic School

•           Bahrain Indian School

•           The New Indian School

•           New Millennium School

•           New Horizon School

•           The Indian School, Bahrain

 

 

Principal Pamela Xavier delivered the welcome address, extending a warm greeting to all the guests, participants, and teachers. She commended the young quizzers for their intellectual enthusiasm and congratulated the organising committee for their efforts in making the event a grand success.School Band and Scouts escorted the chief guest to the venue.

 

 

The contest was conducted by Quiz Master Sarath Menon, whose engaging questions and dynamic presentation kept the audience captivated throughout. The rounds tested a wide range of topics, including general knowledge, science, sports, current affairs, and logical reasoning, ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of the participants’ skills.

 

 

 

 

The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Hon. Asst. Secretary and Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan.The competition not only celebrated intellectual excellence but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and learning among students from diverse schools across Bahrain, making it a truly memorable and inspiring occasion.
