ISB Annual Cultural Fair –Platinum Jubilee Year 2025

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), one of the Kingdom’s most respected community institutions, is celebrating a historic milestone—75 years of dedicated service in the field of education. Established in 1950, the ISB’s Platinum Jubilee year is being commemorated through a series of thoughtfully planned programmes that honour its rich legacy, celebrate its present achievements, and reaffirm its commitment to the future. The  highlight of the ISB’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations will be the ISB Annual Cultural Fair –Platinum Jubilee Year 2025, scheduled to be held on 15 and 16 January 2026. Recognised as one of the school’s most eagerly anticipated community events, the cultural fair has, over the years, evolved into a vibrant platform for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and social engagement.

The cultural festivities will begin on Thursday, 15 January 2026 with a musical concert by acclaimed Indian musician Stephen Devassy and team.   On 16 January, the celebrations will continue with cultural presentations by students, followed by an energetic musical performance led by playback singer Rupali Jagga, accompanied by Abhishek Soni and their ensemble.

Presented by Star Vision Events, the fair promises two evenings filled with cultural richness, entertainment, and family-friendly activities. The programmes on both days will be held from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm, offering hours of immersive experiences for students, parents, alumni, and well-wishers from the wider community. The fair will showcase an impressive range of student cultural performances, reflecting the diverse artistic talents nurtured at the  school. A major attraction of the fair will be its extensive food and recreation zones. Licensed outdoor catering establishments will offer a wide selection of delicacies, featuring regional specialities from Bahrain alongside popular cuisines from various Indian states. In addition, numerous games, entertainment stalls, and recreational activities will be arranged for children, youth, and families, transforming the school grounds into a lively and festive space.

Adding further excitement, Zayani Motors has generously supported the fair with an MG ZS car as the first prize for the raffle draw. The draw will be conducted on 18 January 2026 at 11am, in the presence of officials from the ministry. The successful execution of these large-scale Platinum Jubilee events is being ensured through meticulous planning and strong collaboration. The ISB has constituted a dedicated organising committee led by the principals and vice-principals, with support from teachers representing multiple departments. Complementing this structure is parent organising committee, led by General Convener R. Ramesh of Santy Constructions WLL.

The Platinum Jubilee Cultural Fair has been conceptualised with clear and meaningful objectives. Proceeds from the event will be directed towards infrastructure development, financial assistance for students in need, and staff welfare initiatives. At a press conference,  reflecting on the significance of the Jubilee celebrations, ISB Hon. Chairman, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming enthusiasm shown by all stakeholders. He noted that the collective efforts of students, staff, parents, and volunteers not only elevate the scale and quality of the celebrations but also reinforce the school’s shared commitment to excellence in education and community bonding.

With an entry fee of BD 2, all proceeds from the cultural fair will support the ISB’s educational and welfare programmes. Shuttle bus services will be provided from the national stadium to ensure convenient access and parking for visitors. With over 12,000 students and 700 staff members actively involved in preparations, the celebrations truly reflect the unity, diversity, and vibrancy of the ISB community. Through the Annual Cultural Fair – Platinum Jubilee Year 2025, the school celebrates not only its remarkable 75-year legacy but also its enduring bond with the Kingdom of Bahrain and its unwavering commitment to nurturing future generations.
