The Indian School celebrates Bahrain National Day
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB), Isa Town Campus, celebrated Bahrain National Day with great pride and cultural fervour on Monday,15 December, 2025. The occasion reflected the school’s deep respect for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its commitment to fostering cultural harmony within the school community.
The celebration was graced by the presence of ISB Hon. Chairman, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Hon.Asst. Secretary and Member–Academics Ranjini Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal G Satheesh, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, Arabic HoD Safa Abdulla Qambar, teachers and students.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. A recitation from the Holy Quran set a reverent tone for the proceedings. HoD Safa Abdulla Qambar formally welcomed the dignitaries and delivered a meaningful national day address, highlighting the values of unity, progress, and cultural heritage that Bahrain embodies.
The cultural segment featured a series of vibrant performances by students. Students from Grades 4 and 5 presented an energetic dance, while others recited poetry that celebrated Bahrain’s history and traditions. A traditional presentation of Al Jalwa, symbolising the groom’s ceremonial entrance, captivated the audience. The programme also included a melodious national song, a song medley, and a visually striking fashion show that showcased Bahraini culture with elegance and creativity.
A special segment of the event was dedicated to honouring teachers and staff members for their dedication and service. The honoured staff included Ms. Safa Abdulla Qambar, Ms. Eman Mansour, Ms. Ahlam Mansour, Ms. Malak, Ms. Wadee’a, Ms. Sakina Mal Allah, Ms. Sadiqa Mal Allah, Ms. Zainab, Ms. Fatima, Ms. Maryam Abdulwahab, Ms. Zahra Al-Asfoor, Ms. Zahra, Ms. Naba, Ms. Karima, Ms. Widad, Ms. Asia Al-Hayki, Ms. Masouma, Ms. Wajeeha, Ms. Doaa, Ms. Noor, Ms. Sarah, and Ms. Faheema bin Rajab.
The programme was compered by students Zainab Ali Al Saffar and Baneen Abdulla AlSayegh. ISB Hon. Chairman, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Hon.Asst. Secretary and Member–Academics Ranjini Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, and Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal G Satheesh congratulated the students and teachers commending their enthusiastic participation and strong cultural engagement, which made the celebration a memorable tribute to Bahrain National Day.
