ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy Tour Inspires Students at ISB

The excitement of international cricket reached The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) as the prestigious DP World ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy toured the campus on Sunday, 11 January 2026, as part of an energetic three-day programme across the  Kingdom. The initiative, organised by the Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) in collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC), aims to bring the excitement of international cricket closer to local communities and inspire the next generation of players and fans.

The visiting team consisting of Project Lead Joseph Martes and BCF Executives  were accorded a warm welcome  by   ISB Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian; Hon. Vice-Chairman and Hon. Member – Sports, Dr. Mohammed Faizal; Hon.Asst.Secretary & Hon. Member-Academics  Ranjini Mohan,  Hon. Member – Projects and Maintenance, Mithun Mohan; Hon. Member, Biju George; Principal VR Palaniswamy; Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School and Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh; Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas. Physical Education teachers and members of the school team were also present to mark the occasion.

ISB Hon. Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil Varughese said that such global sporting exposure serves as a powerful inspiration for students, encouraging discipline, teamwork, and excellence, while reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing young talent both on and off the field.
