ISB Shines with 7 CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Awards for Academic Excellence
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has once again reinforced its reputation for academic excellence by securing seven prestigious awards in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations for the academic year 2024–2025. The achievement was officially confirmed by CBSE Gulf Sahodaya and announced during the 38th Annual Principals’ Conference held in Kochi from 3 to 6 January. The awards were received on behalf of the school by ISB Principal VR Palaniswamy, marking a moment of immense pride for the entire school community.
A highlight of this remarkable success was the outstanding performance of student Sreya Manoj, who emerged as the Overall Gulf Topper in the CBSE Class XII examination. Following revaluation, she secured an exceptional score of 494 marks out of 500, achieving 98.8 per cent. In addition to being the School Topper, she also became the First Bahrain Topper, setting a new benchmark of excellence.
Close on her heels was Joel Sabu, who scored 493 out of 500 to become the Second School Topper. His performance earned him the distinction of Third Overall Gulf Topper and First Bahrain Topper in the Science stream. In the Commerce stream, Aradhya Kanodathil secured 488 out of 500, making her the Third Bahrain Topper. In Humanities, Ishika Pradeep(485/500) is the second topper in the stream at the school level and went on to become the Third Bahrain Topper.
The school’s success extended to Class X as well, with Devavrath Jeevan emerging as the School Topper by scoring 491 out of 500. His achievement placed him as the Third Bahrain Topper in Class X.
Congratulating the students on their exceptional accomplishments, ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman & Hon. Member - Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon. Asst. Secretary and Hon. Member (Academics) Ranjini Mohan, Members of the Executive Committee, Principal VR Palaniswamy, and Senior School and Academic Administration Vice-Principal G Satheesh lauded the students’ dedication, perseverance, and hard work. They also acknowledged the unwavering support of teachers and parents, stating that these collective efforts continue to uphold the ISB’s legacy of academic distinction.
