ISB Technofest 2026 Showcases Scientific Excellence

 The Indian Schoo Bahrain (ISB) successfully organised Science Day- Technofest 2026, a vibrant celebration of scientific inquiry, innovation, and environmental awareness. Students from Classes IV to XII enthusiastically participated in a series of competitions designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and scientific exploration.

Students of Classes IV and V showcased their innovative ideas through a Science Exhibition based on the theme ‘6R – Rethinking the Lifecycle of Consumption,’ highlighting sustainable practices and responsible use of resources.

Class IV Winners: 1. Aiden Sam D’Souza (IV-P), 2. Evangelo Benson (IV-H), 3. Srisha Prasanthsuganya (IV-P).

Class V Winners:1. Ishaan Krishna Sunil (V-R),2.Ashil Roseena Ajin Raj (V-S), 3.Darshika Ezhil (V-J).

Students of Class VI demonstrated their scientific aptitude through an engaging Science Quiz Competition.Winners: 1.Team A: Punya Shah (VI-F) and   Niah Mary (VI-F), 2.Team E: Abhimanya Midhun (VI-Y) and Naithik Sumesh (VI-B), 3.Team D: Azhar Aftab Sama (VI-L) and Steve Emil (VI-H).

For Classes VII to XII, students explored contemporary global challenges through Digital Poster Competitions. Themes included:

  • Class VII – Life on Land: Protecting Forests and Biodiversity
  • Class VIII – Water Conservation and Global Water Crisis
  • Class IX – Responsible Consumption and Waste Management
  • Class X – Zero Hunger: Ending Global Food Insecurity
  • Class XI – Electric Vehicles and Clean Transport
  • Class XII – Cybersecurity Awareness – Think Before You Click

Winning classes were: Class VII: 7-P, 7-H, 7-W;  Class VIII:  8-N, 8-A, 8-P;  Class IX: 9-U, 9-H, 9-N; Class X: 10-B, 10-C, 10-A;  Class XI:  11-N, 11-P, 11-M; Class XII: 12-H, 12-I, 12-Q.

ISB Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon.Asst.Secretary & Hon. Member-Academics  Ranjini Mohan, Principal VR Palaniswamy,  Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal G Satheesh, Vice-Principal Rajesh Nair  and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas attended. The overall event was led by Heads of Deapartments Sudeepa Ghosh (Biology), Pius Mathew (Computer Science),Manogaran Loganathan (Physics), and Rajasree Karnavar (Chemistry). The programme was coordinated by all Science teachers, class coordinators, Head Teachers of Activities, and Head Teachers across levels.  ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese congratulated the winners of the Technofest which provided students with a meaningful platform to apply scientific knowledge, develop innovative thinking, and strengthen their commitment towards building a sustainable future.
