The Indian School Invests New Student Leaders for 2026-27
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated the spirit of leadership, service, and responsibility with its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026-27 on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The solemn and inspiring occasion marked the formal induction of the school's student leaders across various levels, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and staff.
The ceremony was graced by ISB Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon.Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Assistant Secretary & Member-Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member- Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, PrincipalVR Palaniswamy, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Vice-Principal Rajesh Nair, Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas, and the school's Head Teachers and Coordinators.
The names of the newly inducted prefects were announced by Vice-Principals G. Satheesh and Rajesh Nair. The new prefects were selected based on a rigorous set of criteria encompassing academic performance, discipline, fluency of expression and overall personal comportment — qualities that define exemplary student leaders.
Senior Section (Classes 11 & 12): Abhinav Sreejith was invested as Head Boy and Merlin Jeminichan Mangalath as Head Girl, supported by a 25-member prefectorial team.
Secondary Section (Classes 9 & 10): Muhammad Adnan Eranchikkal was invested as Head Boy and Erum Irfan Nakhwa as Head Girl, supported by a 20-member prefectorial team.
Middle Section (Classes 6, 7 & 8): Aarav Shrivastava was invested as Head Boy and Vardini Jayaprakash as Head Girl, leading a 29-member prefectorial team.
Junior Section (Classes 4 & 5): Jeff George was invested as Head Boy and Aisha Mehrin of as Head Girl, heading a team of 20 prefects.
In addition, the ISBMUN office bearers were formally inducted. Joel Shaiju took charge as Secretary General, Evana Rachel Binu as Deputy Secretary General, Aryan Sathyan Das as Student Director of the Organising Committee, and Sanjay Preji as Student Director of Research and Training.
In his address, Hon.Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese affirmed his confidence in the newly invested leaders, noting that the prefects are groomed and ready to assume the mantle of leadership. He formally pinned the badges on the student leaders.
Felicitation addresses were also delivered by Hon.Secretary V. Rajapandian and Principal VR Palaniswamy. The Head Boy and Head Girl delivered their acceptance speeches, pledging commitment to their responsibilities. Earlier, the programme commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the reading of the Holy Quran by Iffa Imaad. Masters of Ceremony Ebrahim Ali Sayed and Afsana Abdul Salim conducted the proceedings with poise and confidence.
The ceremony concluded on an uplifting note, reaffirming the ISB's enduring commitment to nurturing well-rounded, responsible, and compassionate student leaders.
