ISB Junior Wing Holds Investiture Ceremony for Academic Year 2026–27
The Investiture Ceremony of The Indian School, Bahrain, Riffa Campus, was held with great dignity and enthusiasm on Monday, 15 June 2026, marking the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year 2026–27. The event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership qualities and fostering a sense of responsibility among its students. ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian, Principal Pamela Xavier, and Vice-Principal Priya Laji attended the ceremony. Together, they formally conferred badges and sashes upon the members of the Prefect Council.
The ceremony commenced with the installation of 25 student leaders, including Head Boy Rishwanth Sivakumar, Head Girl Yana Febish, Assistant Head Boy Darshak Nidhin, Assistant Head Girl Hafsa Abdul Rasheed, and Eco Ambassador Maira Fatima Siddiqui, along with the elected prefects.
Earlier the proceedings began with the National Anthem of the Kingdom of Bahrain, followed by a soulful recitation from the Holy Quran and the rendition of the school song by the students of Grade 3. In her address, Principal Pamela Xavier extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and inspired the newly elected council members to lead with integrity, dedication, and a spirit of service.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office by the
sincerity, commitment, and excellence in the presence of dignitaries, faculty members, and fellow students.
Delivering the felicitation address, Hon. Chairman Adv.Binu Mannil congratulated the newly elected leaders and encouraged them to become role models who inspire positive change within the school community. Hon. Secretary V Rajapandian also addressed the
gathering, motivating the student leaders to embrace their responsibilities with confidence, humility, and a strong sense of purpose.
In his address, Head Boy Rishwanth Sivakumar emphasized that leadership is a responsibility that calls for selfless service, leading by example, and representing the voices of fellow students. He remarked that true leadership lies not in authority, but in inspiring others to achieve their fullest potential.
The ceremony concluded on a note of pride and optimism as Head Girl Yana Febish delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event. The Investiture Ceremony not only marked the beginning of a new journey for the student leaders but also reaffirmed the school’s enduring commitment to developing responsible citizens and future leaders.
