The Indian School Earns ‘Good’ Rating in BQA Review

The Indian School (ISB) has been awarded a ‘Good’ overall rating in the latest educational quality review conducted by the Bahrain Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) from November 30 to December 4, 2025. The review recognised the school’s commitment to providing accessible, equitable, and high-quality education to students from Grades 1 to 12.

Marking this significant achievement, Principal VR  Palaniswamy formally presented the BQA Silver Memento to ISB Hon. Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese. The ceremony was attended by Hon. Secretary V. Rajapandian, Hon. Vice-Chairman and Hon. Member–Sports Dr. Mohammed Faizal, Hon. Asst. Secretary and Hon. Member–Academics Ranjini Mohan, Hon. Member–Projects & Maintenance Mithun Mohan, Hon. Member Biju George, Hon. Member–Transport Mohammad Nayaz Ullah, Junior Wing Principal Pamela Xavier, Senior School and Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Junior Wing Vice-Principal Priya Laji, Vice-Principal Rajesh Nair, English HOD G.T  Mani, and Staff Representative Parvathi Devadas.

According to the review report, The Indian School has successfully created a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their full potential. The reviewers commended the school’s forward-thinking leadership, noting that the collective efforts of the management, governors, staff, and parents have contributed significantly to sustained academic growth and continuous improvement.

The report also praised students for their enthusiasm, independence, and active participation in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Their achievements in academics, sports, and the arts were highlighted as evidence of the school’s holistic approach to education. Additionally, academic support programmes beyond regular classroom instruction were recognised for their positive impact on student performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese expressed his appreciation to the management, staff, students, and parents for their collective contribution to the achievement. He stated that the school would prepare a comprehensive Action Plan based on the review recommendations and continue its efforts to enhance educational excellence and student outcomes.
