ISB Introduces Free Real-Time School Bus Tracking App
The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) has announced the introduction of a new real-time school bus tracking facility free of cost through the DC Parent App, further strengthening its commitment to student safety, efficient transportation management and effective communication with parents. The new facility, being initially introduced at the Riffa Campus from October 1, 2026, will enable parents to monitor the movement of their ward’s assigned school bus in real time during the morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off schedules. Later this facility will be extended to the ISB Isa Town campus as well. The school management has confirmed that the bus tracking facility will be provided free of charge to parents, with no additional subscription or operational fee for accessing the service through the DC Parent App.
The initiative is part of the school’s continuing efforts to use technology to enhance the overall school experience and provide parents with timely and reliable information about their children’s daily commute. Through the updated DC Parent App, parents will be able to access a convenient tracking interface that provides information on the location and progress of the assigned school bus. The facility is designed to make school transportation more transparent and help parents plan their children’s arrival at the designated bus stop more effectively.
The key features of the new facility include:
Live Bus Tracking: Parents can view the real-time location of their child’s assigned school bus while it is operating on its designated route.
Route and Stop Updates: The application provides information on the progress of the bus, including completed and upcoming stops.
Arrival Notifications: Parents will receive relevant alerts and updates regarding the movement and arrival of the bus, helping them coordinate pick-up and drop-off arrangements.
Convenient Mobile Access: The tracking facility can be accessed directly through the DC Parent App, eliminating the need for a separate tracking application.
The initiative is expected to reduce unnecessary waiting time at bus stops and enable parents to make better-informed arrangements based on the actual movement of the school bus. It will also strengthen communication between the school, transportation personnel and parents.
Parents of students travelling by school buses at the Riffa Campus are advised to download or update the DC Parent App to its latest version through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Further information regarding activation, access and usage of the facility will be communicated to parents through the school’s official communication channels.
The introduction of real-time bus tracking is another step in the Indian School Bahrain’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
